The Slovak festival of poetry Beniakove Chynorany contributes in a competitive form to the development of the Slovak amateur recitation, provides a space for the confrontation of the results of artistic creation of reciters, discovers young reciter talents and in the form of educational seminars and workshops guides their professional growth. It popularises the work of the prominent Slovak poet Valentin Beniak, spiritual poetry and poetic work by authors in a European context. It also enables Slovak reciters living abroad to make creative contacts with artistic performance in their mother tongue.
