Inspirational folklore festival
At this unique festival we create a space to present new creation of banská bystrica collectives and guests. From the beginning, Haravara is prepared in cooperation with the Department of Dance Production at the VŠMU and district folklore collectives. Scenic programmes called DANCES, are annually enriched by a selected folklore collective which in its creation brings innovative approaches to the processing of traditional folk culture.
An integral part of the festival are DANCE AND SINGING HOUSES for folklorists and the public, ETHNOGRAPHIC LECTURES, as well as the popular SÚBORIÁDA competition, where the competing teams will in a fun way check their dance skills, insights, memory, teamwork and sense of humour. No Haravara is without traditional folk ENTERTAINMENT.
